My first important purchase after I got my first teaching job was a Minolta SRT 101, which I still have. I used to love getting into the darkroom to develop photos, but slowly career and family took up more of my life and although I continued freelance writing, I put photography aside. Now that I’ve retired as a school superintendent, I am keeping busy teaching through Brandman University, but have more time for my family, my writing, my teaching and my photography. I earned a second place at the Yolo County Fair this year and learn a little more at each gathering of the Photography Club of Davis. I exhibited my own photos for the first time at the Davis Cemetery Art Exhibition in October.
